Watch: “The Motherload” by Mastodon
Watch: “It Girl” by Pharrell Williams
Watch: “Never Catch Me” by Flying Lotus (feat. Kendrick Lamar)
You’ll never catch these two little spirits.
They are the major vibrant characters in this seriously dark music video from Flying Lotus. His collaboration with Kendrick Lamar is the soundtrack for the kid’s dancing antics and they go HAM.
Hard not to be impressed; trying to shine a bright light on a serious topic speaks levels alongside this brilliant track.

Watch: “Millions” by Gerard Way
Gerard Way’s new solo venture, Hesitant Alien, is in stores now. The Guardian premiered the new music video for “Millions” this morning. It continues the visual stylings Gerard built on “No Show” with those trippy ’80s videodromes; who now are some talented weird dancers.
Unlike “No Show”, I actually like this track. Thus it gets my recommendation.

Watch: “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran
The internet world let out a collective swoon with the arrival of Ed Sheeran’s imperfectly choreographed moves within the romantic “Thinking Out Loud”. The song fits the gorgeous visuals quite perfectly, but I much rather close my eyes and think of my love over seeing Ed cut a rug..

Watch: “Gust of Wind” by Pharrell Williams (feat. Daft Punk)
Watch: “I Don’t Want To Change You” by Damien Rice
Read something substantial last night in regards to Damien Rice. Found it profoundly touching about his break with former flame & collaborator Lisa Hannigan..
“I love her so much,” he told the Guardian. “And I love her so much that I love that she hasn’t spoken to me – because even in that I have learned so much over the last two years,” he said.
I don’t know. Words I took to heart quite literally. Here is the full version of Damien Rice’s “I Don’t Want To Change You” music video that has him twerking on a dock.
Directed by Arni & Kinski

Watch: “Something From Nothing” by Foo Fighters (feat. Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick)
“Sonic Highways” premiered over the weekend on HBO and if you watched it, like I did, you know The Foo ended the episode with their lyrical music video for the lead single “Something From Nothing” that featured Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen.
My guess is that each episode will end in a similar matter. Which makes me quite excited seeing how the song now feels complete with all the Chicago backstory.

Watch: “Drown” by Bring Me The Horizon
Going mainstream doesn’t make Bring Me The Horizon happy in “Drown”. Actually…it turns them into monsters! What doesn’t kill you, am I right?
Their brand new single and video for their upcoming 2015 venture is a bit tamer, but shows their depth quite beautifully as they portray a telling story of heartache.

Watch: “Under The Tide” by CHVRCHES
Martin Doherty streamlines CHVRCHES’ live action-animated 6th music video from ‘The Bones Of What You Believe‘. “Under The Tide” intercuts Japanese anime visuals with stark shadow images of the band.
Happy that Lauren always shares the spotlight with her men. Makes for great collaborations.

Watch: “Grindin'” by August Alsina
Watch: “i” by Kendrick Lamar
Watch: “Tribe” by Theophilus London (Feat. Jesse Boykins III)
Praise!
We’re still dancing. This time with Theophilus London who has produced his primal visuals for “Tribe”. All I’ll say is, “Human Tree”.
I have praised Mr. London many times in our career, but if you’re not bumping VIBES in your headphones…you’re missing out one of the best hip hop albums of 2014.
Directed by Tim Nackashi

Watch: “Outside” by Calvin Harris (feat. Ellie Goulding)
One YouTube kind of hit the nail on the head with his insight. He believes this video is the prequel to “Need Your Love”. I think it’s after…meaning the two weren’t really exclusive. For both Calvin & Ellie broken relationships become destructive throughout the visuals until the two come together at the fantastical end.
One thing is for sure…Ellie’s still looking good.

Watch: “The Wolfpack” by Angels & Airwaves
Watch: “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson (feat. Bruno Mars)
Watch: “No Good in Goodbye” by The Script
Watch: “Guts Over Fear” by Eminem (feat. Sia)
1st Song of the Day: “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice
I do dance. Poorly. But cutting a rug in an empty room is still one of my favorite pastimes. This what it looks like:
Haha. Shameless #2Chainz plug!
Should be excited. Only two more days to a four day weekend. Lee Brice’s “I Don’t Dance” is one of 2014 most romantic country tunes. Makes you rethink the loves of your historic career. Maybe?
I appreciate all the clicks, retweets, facebook posts on our Saturday Showcase. The feedback has been quite positive despite be being totally honest on the subject matter. I don’t consider it to be our Journal #10. That is being reserved for something else. #spoilers. Should *crosses fingers* be posted by Sunday. Gotta start writing my Favorite records of 2014 posts too!
Can’t believe it’s almost December. Only thing I got planned is Hockey next weekend. Might see a show this Friday. More of our 2014 Finale. Then we restart. Go out and dance a little before then. I’ll assist.

Video Intermission: “You & I (Forever)” by Jessie Ware
Jessie & her new hubby, Sam Burrows, are merely two of the many characters in the lovely new visuals for “You & I (Forever)”. Jessie wrote the song for Sam so it was only fitting to share cute moments in an old vintage photobooth together.
There are so much more here for a track that will be airing on various wedding playlists to come. Enjoy romantics.
